Marc Braine
Good morning, Why when I create a style from a selection, the created style appears without a thumbnail? How to add a thumbnail to the new style. See screenshot. Thanks for your help.
walt.farrell
You should have a thumbnail automatically; you don't need to create one. Whether it's visible or not may depend on what characteristics it has. Can you show us the object you created it from? Can you export a .afstyles file and share that with us? Which application, and what release of that application are you using? What OS? Marc Braine
Indeed before the thumbnails were created automatically but it has not worked for a few days. I'm using Affinity Photo Version 2.1.1 on Windows 10. I am attaching 2 screenshots and the AFstyle personal file. Good for you THANKS Perso.afstyles walt.farrell
walt.farrell
I've imported that file, and it appears to me that your 3 newest styles all have a Layer Effect applied, but were created from an object with no Stroke and no Fill. Therefore, there's no content from the object (stroke/fill) to prepare a thumbnail from. Also, any object you apply that Style to will lose its stroke/fill, though if you then provide them, the Outline Effect will become visible on it. I think it's working just as I would expect it to in that situation.
