touchstone17
hi, I just had some weird behavior setting paragraph parameters. Basically, I took a text box and duplicated it 7 times. It's small text boxes for labelling. So i write 2 words and the text folds over. In those text boxes, I couldnt change the line spacing in the paragraph settings; nothing would happen (this is on "no paragraph style"). So I thought the ft box bugged out. I deleted it and made a new textbox and then the first line would have "first line indent". I now could set the line spacing but I couldnt get rid of the first line indent anymore. At that point I didnt know what to do, so I tried creating a new paragraph style. I removed first line indent on the new paragraph style and after that the text boxes worked again, even if i switch back to "no style". So, what would guess thats going on, is either (a) the "no style" paragraph settings bugged out somehow or (b) there is a concept I dont understand, some logic or setting I'm not aware of that overrides whatever I set in the paragraph settings of the text box. touchstone17
Okay, so I can reproduce the error. I duplicate a text box from a different artboard that has line bulleting activated. I drag it to a new artboard. I remove the bullets. I write text so the line folds over. After that the paragraph settings dont work anymore. So I think duplicate is bugged with frame text tool boxes. walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. It would help to have some screenshots of what you're doing, or a screen recording. If you can provide these, please make sure they show the complete application window. It might also help to have a sample .afdesign document so we can be sure what you did in your second post. Perhaps two, with one saved before "I remove the bullets" and one saved after. Or with History saved so we can back up to see it at several points in the process. Finally, it would help to know what OS you use, and which application you're talking about, and what release of the application.
