Mow Liebig
Hello all, I work a lot with Affinity Designer, especially with multiple artboards and lots of embedded image data. What I really like about Affinity is that the work files are very small due to the embedded image files. But if the file path of the embedded image data changes, it currently takes a lot of effort to update this link again, because you don't have the possibility to search for the image files within a parent selected folder. Currently you have to select exactly the folder where the image files are located. It would make a lot of work easier for me if the feature to search embedded images within a selected folder could be added in the future. Best regards Mow
GarryP
I don’t often have a use for this but I think there’s already some functionality where you can tell the software to search for the ‘missing’ resources but I can’t remember how it’s invoked. I think the software comes up with some options when you first open a document that has missing resources, and it’s one of those options, but I could be wrong. Embedded means it get's stored inside the document. GarryP
Return
When you start a project which will contain a large amount of images it is best to create a folder for this where you store copies of the images that are going to be used. If already imported from here or there you could save as package>include images>save to a desired location. Close the project file and open the version just saved as package in that location. It now has a folder where copies of the linked images are stored. Save as afpub file and the images will have the same location.
