Perspective functionality issue in Affinity Designer 2 ( It is correct in Affinity Photo 2)

Affinity Designer 2's perspective functionality is not working properly.

1.Draw a diagonal line using the Pen Tool.
2.Write text along the diagonal line using the Artistic Text Tool.
3.Transform the text using the Perspective Tool.

The function works correctly in Affinity Photo 2, but it doesn't function properly in Designer 2.
Please verify and provide a response.

I'm not accustomed to speaking English regularly, so please pardon any mistakes in the text.

Welcome to the forums @hira

It’s worth noting that the vector Warp Group functionality of Designer is different functionality to the raster Perspective warp functionality of both Photo and Designer’s Pixel Persona.

That said, the Warp Group functionality does seem to have an issue where the geometry extends beyond the boundary box of the layer – see attached video.

I don’t know whether this is expected behaviour or not.

Affinity Designer V2  perspective warp group uses totally wrong math to calculate the result. It's been wrong from the start. It's not fixed in V2.4 beta.

The original is in the left. The black one in the right is the result of applying the perspective warp group. The diagonal lines are curved and the circle is transformed to something else than an ellipse.

Mathematically valid result is shown as blue. It's made in Inkscape.  Affinity developers should check the right formula from there.
