schleppel Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Hallo Forum, könnte mir bitte jemand helfen? Die Datei lässt sich nicht öffnen und ich hab keine Ahnung warum. Danke! sagt schleppel A1_FLB2206_0907.afpub Quote
MikeTO Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 Hi, although this file has an afpub extension it's not a valid afpub file. I looked at it in a hex editor and it doesn't have any of the standard stuff that an afpub file starts with. I don't know whether it's a mangled afpub file or some other file that has an afpub extension, but I see no way to open it. Which version of Publisher did you create it with and what were the steps leading up to saving? schleppel Posted June 13, 2023 Author Posted June 13, 2023 Thanks MikeTO, created on my Mac with 2.1.0 apub at home, saved on my ssd. At work I open the file with 2.?.? apub windows, changed anything and saved back. Later at home on my Mac the file doesnt open anymore. Short story about a day I lost😔 Quote
v_kyr Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 MikeTo is right, your uploaded file doesn't contain an usual Affinity file signature BOM at all here, thus that file probably can't be opened/interpreted as an regular APub file. - Are you sure that it is one by APub generated file at all and nothing else (aka some other data file) with a wrong extension? It seems to me, that the problems lies on the computer at work. Two other files are also corrupted (a plain text file and APub), which I saved before leaving. So I have to check out this on monday next week. Thanks to all helping hands schleppel MikeTO 1 Quote
