kdvklaus Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Hey guys, I have a problem. I want to create a pdf document for print with two cut out images on a yellow background. When I export it and open it with preview on Mac there is a grey frame around the casio watch. The citizen watch doesn't have one. Is this a problem with Preview on Mac or is there way to edit the casio picture? I want to print a book with a lot of cut out images, where this happens. I'm concerned that they will be visible in the final print version. I upload the pdf, the settings and the affinity publisher file. Does anyone know the solution for this? Best regards Test_Watch.afpub test2.pdf Quote

thomaso Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 In Acrobat I don't see this rectangle (it is the size of this layer's bounding box) but in Apple's Preview, I assume it is an issue of Preview with the transparency of this layer, and/or with PDF/X-3. (If you need to avoid the occurrence in Preview you could export as PDF 1.7 or rasterize / merge the watch with the background.) kdvklaus 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
kdvklaus Posted June 7, 2023 Author Posted June 7, 2023 Thank you for your comment. That makes sense! I will contact the printing house and do a printing test. Quote
