scaling of document AND artwork

Hello,

 

I have a question considering scaling artwork. I make large artworks for outdoor use, with maximum sizes up to over 10x10meters. Something pdf file formats cant handle so i need to scale them down. Has been no problem so far, just scale it down under document setup. I have a workaround for scaling artwork in general and that goes also via this way as it allows you to scale artwork without having to check the "scale with object" option. I recently thought, well maybe it is something to organise my documents with artboards. But i noticed that either option i cant do: the options for rescaling the document are greyed out. Scaling artboard obviously works, but it does not "scale with object".

 

I would like to know is this possible with artboards? Are there other options, is there in V2 an option for "scale with object - apply to all"?

Hi @Martijn,

If you're working on an artboard and want to scale the objects when resizing your artboard, select the artboard you wish to scale with the move tool and then untick 'Lock Children' along the context toolbar, this should then scale both simultaneously when resizing your artboard.
