I downloaded the MSIX and installed Affinity V2 Photo upgrade (2.1.0) but why, why does affinity always make it so hard to handle the designer and publisher? Unable to find the earlier V2 of these on my Windows 10 desktop, and which should I try to  upgrade with -- MSIX ir EXE? Please try to give COMPLETE AND CORRECT INSTRUCTIONS for upgrading.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Run the 2.0 release of the application. If it doesn't prompt you tho update, click Help > Check for Updates to get the prompt.

If the prompt has a button for Install you have the MSIX version. But if it has a button for Download you have the EXE/MSI version.

Note that if you currently have the EXE/MSI version running, but you previously had the MSIX version as the Download button might give you the wrong version (MSIX) rather than taking you to the right Download page. In that case, trying again might get you the right one.

Also note that you should use the same kind of installer for all three applications. If you mix them, you will have problems. So if one is MSIX all three should be, and vice versa.
