phuber
I work on Windows 10 and use Affinity 2.1.0 and I installed the Thai Font Noto Sans Thai (https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Sans+Thai) which contains many different font traits. In Microsoft Word, each trait appears in the font list and can be selected and used. In Affinity however, the font gets correctly recognized as a font with multiple traits but all traits are called "Regular" and changing them has no effect. My workaround to use a specific trait is to uninstall the font completely form the system and install only the desired trait. But then there is only one trait available. Can anybody else reproduce this behavior?
walt.farrell
You have probably installed a Variable version of the font, which Affinity did not support. You need to install the Static versions of the fonts, instead. phuber 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro, version 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. iPad: iPad Pro M1, 12.9": iPadOS 17.4.1, Apple Pencil 2, Magic Keyboard Mac: 2023 M2 MacBook Air 15", 16GB memory, macOS Sonoma 14.4.
phuber
Ok. Thanks. I think, this is what I did by installing the desired trait only. walt.farrell
