Straight Line Curve to fit in circle

I’m trying to make several lines in a shape of a circle but without the actual outline of the circle. (Example attached) How can I do that? I tried doing the add, subtract, xor method but they did not work the way I wanted.

Use a clipping mask.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
