Since the latest updates (ver. 1.10.6.1665) for Photo, Designer and Publisher, all launch slower than past versions.  I actually recorded the launch time before the latest update, and took about 5 seconds to launch all 3 apps.  Now they all take about 11 seconds to launch.  They do launch a bit faster after I've accessed each app, then launched again.  The timing difference was negligible, however.

I haven't loaded any new software, nor have I added any new hardware.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,

M.M.

What OS do you use, and what are your system specs?

Hello walt.farrel,

Thanks for the welcome message.

I am using the following:

ASUS 17.3" ROG Strix Gaming Laptop with Windows 10 Home, version 22H2 (19045.2846), 32GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX 3.30 GHz with Radeon Graphics, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.

As I noted, all three apps take about twice as long to launch now since the latest update (ver. 1.10.6.1665).

Thanks again

I SOLVED THIS ISSUE MYSELF.

All three APPS launch in about five seconds each again, instead of the sluggish 11 seconds that I've had to deal with for the past week or so.

Here's what I did (you must do this for EACH APP):

Edit
Preferences
Performance
*Hardware Acceleration: __ Enable OpenCL compute acceleration  --->  UNCHECK THE BOX so OpenCL compute acceleration is DISABLED
Click YES to restart the APP
