Hi

I've typed into Affinity Publisher using Cambria and Calibri - common fonts. I embedded the text. Exported as a press ready PDF. Everything looks good on the screen as a PDF, but when printed, some characters have been replaced by question marks in boxes. It doesn't affect all of the same character. For example, some by not all 't's and '0's have been affected.

Additionally, it appears that the vertical strokes in all of the characters in the text printed appear to be of differing line thicknesses - some thick, some thin, but not on every page, it seems. Again, all appears correct in the PDF. It's only when it's printed that the problem becomes apparent.

Cheers

Could you upload your Publisher document along with the pdf generated from it so we can take a look at what might be going on.

  1. Are you on Mac or Windows?
