Hi all,

I am exporting to PDF from publisher, and am getting strange results. The stroke width differences do not display properly in the exported pdf. For example, I have tables in which the top and bottom borders have a wider stroke width, and the internal lines are much thinner. In the exported Pdf all the lines are super dark, and are no different in width from each other. And they are also much darker than the rest of the elements on the page.

Any advice on what may be causing this? I am pretty new to publisher, and especially the export process.

Thanks! :)

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @RobsPotter.

Some PDF viewers have an option to enhance thin lines, and that option may be on by default. So I would suggest checking the viewer(s) you're using to see if they have that option, and turn it off. Also, trying multiple viewers might be a good idea.

Thanks @walt.farrell! It did significantly decrease the line thickness, but unfortunately still not to the extent that it was originally made in Publisher. I opened in Goodnotes, where the file will be used almost exclusively, and it also seems to enhance the thin lines, though I cannot seem to find a setting to turn it off. Mac Preview also enhances thin lines with no option to turn it off :( I think I am going to have to change the design rather than worry about users having inconsistent results based on their viewer. *sigh* But thanks again, I really appreciate your help!

If the lines are still thicker than you expect, even in viewers that do not enhance them, we may need to see a copy of your .afpub  file (or a sample one with the same issue) to analyze it.
