We work on two PCs (both latest win10)...

After double-clicking on an image, the maximum image size (with the handles and cross in the middle) will be seen. After deselecting the image, this line (as an auxiliary line?) will be seen. If the documents are opened on the other PC, these lines are not visible.

If several pictures are used on one page, this is unfortunately very irritating.

When scrolling to another page in the document, the lines are gone until a selection is made on the page again.

Welcome to the Affinity Forums :)

If you are referring to the purple lines shown in your screenshot, these are Snapping Candidates which show all of the geometry the app can currently 'snap' to - which includes the full size of the image within the Picture Frame.

You can disable Snapping Candidates within the Snapping menu on the main Toolbar to stop these from appearing -
