GaryD9 Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 Purchased the iPad version of photo today. After I paid on the App Store, I was instructed to register it to my affinity account. I clicked use existing, and entered my store credentials. This results in an error. (See attached image.) (Yes, I do I have a serif store account.) That error dialog has a “back” link, so I clicked it. Then I see a message that it has been registered with a continue button. I click continue, but nothing happens. I can’t use the program because I can’t get past this dialog. The trial was much more functional. At least I could use it. Quote
GaryD9 Posted April 9, 2023 Author Posted April 9, 2023 This is the dialog I see when I click that back link, with the “continue” button that doesn’t seem to work and leaves me unable to use the program. Is there any chance I can use the software I just paid for? Quote
Staff Callum Posted April 11, 2023 Staff Posted April 11, 2023 Hi GarryD9, Please could you try turning Wifi off and then back on on your iPad to see if this solves your issue? It may also be worth trying fully restarting the iPad. Thanks Callum Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.

However, it did get me past the second dialog after I used "back" on the first dialog. (I also see this second dialog mentioned in the FAQ forum.) This issue gives a REALLY BAD first impression for someone who just paid. The impression it gave me was: "Thank you for your money. Now the software is broken." I was close to sending messages to Apple to ask for a refund. Quote
Staff Callum Posted April 12, 2023 Staff Posted April 12, 2023 Hi GaryD9, I apologise for the poor first experience you have had with the app registration issues like this are something we hope to have ironed out very soon. Just to confirm are you now able to use the app or is it continuing to prompt for registration? Thanks C Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
GaryD9 Posted April 12, 2023 Author Posted April 12, 2023 After getting past the "Continue" prompt, it has stopped asking me to register and I'm able to use the software. (I apologize for not filling that in earlier.) Hopefully the same hack will work to get registration to work in a couple days when I purchase Affinity Publisher (for iPad.) Quote
Andreas Schmid Posted April 13, 2023 Posted April 13, 2023 You can use the iOS software fully even without being registered or logged in. Quote
