Hi...

I'm REALLY new to graphic design (only as a hobby and self taught) and the Affinity family of apps.

So I'm working on a .psd file (for our bike club jersey-mock up only) and I'm trying to edit the respective layer to change color, add graphics, etc. but I can't seem to open the respective layer to complete said actions. When I go to the layer, there's a purple bar on the right hand side of the respective layer (see attachment). I double click the layer but nothing opens. I've seen other colors on other files (red, grey). What do the colored bars mean?

I was able to open the layer once before but I can't remember how I did that.

Again, thanks for all the help.

I use iPad screenshots and videos even in the Desktop section of the forum when I expect no relevant difference.
