Digbydo 2 Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 So, I'm trying to do a series of 'Egg Shots' ~ Currently I'm using the pen tool to draw in the eyebrows, nose & lips then using the ellipse shape to do the eyes. It looks very flat to me & I somehow want to make the drawn on features become more realistic! I'm sure there is a way to go about this in Photo but I'm not sure how to proceed. The attached image is my very first attempt at this and yes, I know it's not great but even so it should give you a better idea of what I'm trying to achieve. Any help hints tips or pointers to YouTube videos would be great ~ TIA Quote
v_kyr Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 Draw instead in natura onto the egg, before takinge a (better lighted) cam shot. - Other than that for the way you've already gone, blur and put some noise into your drawing, so overall adjust it more to your image lighting & color conditions. Finally warp, perspective distort your drawing so it fits better and more smoothless to the egg form. Digbydo 2 Posted April 6, 2023 Author Posted April 6, 2023 Thank you for your response v_kyr ~ Unfortunately your opening sentence is not quite clear but I assume you mean to draw on the egg naturally before taking a better camera shot. Well I have tried drawing the cartoon faces on the eggs but all too often the lines become too squiggly where-as, when I'm drawing with the pen tool and using Shapes it appears much cleaner. That said I do like the idea of adding blur & noise along with warp perspective and hopefully will then lend itself to the Egg shape. Thanks again v-kyr you've been a great help. Quote
