iOS 16.4

Problem 1:

Designer 2 will open and then freezes at the “samples” screen. All buttons (e.g. prefs, new document etc) will not activate. I’ve waited up to 10 minutes for something else to happen.

I’ve also uninstalled the app, re-downloaded and reinstalled designer several times today. I have shut down and rebooted my iPad Pro multiple times as well.

This app is critical for me as a designer and illustrator!

I’ve upgraded to 16.4 today. I think this is the problem.
According to Apple, I can’t reinstall 16.2, which is the last ‘compatible’ designer 2 release.

Is there a work around I don’t know about?

Problem 2:

My affinity designer 2 folder disappeared awhile ago.  All my designer files (regardless of version) are in one folder. I can access them but designer 2 thinks they are all v1 files and requires me to import them. Any solution here? Reinstalling designer 2 doesn’t fix the problem.

Hi Paharper,

I'm glad to hear the beta has solved your first issue. In regards to problem 2 is this an iCloud folder? If possible could you provide one of the files Designer is mistakenly opening as a V1 document?

@Callum It isn’t from an iCloud folder. The folders look like a standard designer v1 folder on my iPad. The designer 2 folder has disappeared (although the beta folder was installed).
