NIgelJH Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 I am running AP 2.0.4 on an iMac 3.6 GHz 10 core, AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4 GB, 32 GB DDR4 with Ventura 13.1 I have been using AP2 since it came out and I have only noticed this spinning wheel since updating to Ventura. I know that this does cause some issues and it was wrong to update as I did. The Spinning wheel is becoming so regular that I have it around 20 - 30 times each hour and it's really slowing me down. I am not necessarily working with big files - around 3 - 4 MB something I have done for many years. Is there a way to stop this from happening, please? I have tried to revert back to an earlier OS but Ventura seems to be blocking that for some reason. Thanks in advance Quote
MikeTO Posted April 1, 2023 Posted April 1, 2023 Hi Nigel, a lot of us are using Affinity v2 on Ventura so there is no general issue with using Ventura. Don't try to downgrade your OS now that you've upgraded. I'm unsure how long it's been since you upgraded. If it was today then please restart your computer. And also be patient - Ventura may be doing housekeeping in the background and using up cycles. The next thing to try is turning off the Automatically Adjust Brightness setting in macOS Settings. This setting doesn't play well with Affinity. NIgelJH Posted April 1, 2023 Author Posted April 1, 2023 Thanks Mike! Ive had Ventura since a few days after release, so it ought to have settled down by now. I have turned off the setting you have highlighted so hopefully this will go a long way to sort it out!! Again, thank you!! Quote
NIgelJH Posted April 3, 2023 Author Posted April 3, 2023 Hi Mike just to say that it worked and in fact it solved some other niggly things too! Thank you! Dan C and MikeTO 2 Quote
