Hi there,

Part question, part feedback...

Bug: I'm creating an application palette, and adding colours to it. Each time I add a new colour, the palette shown flips to "recent colours" but still has the name as the palette I just created, so it looks like it has more colours. I have to then go back and switch to the new palette each time I add a new colour to it. :/

Second thing, I don't know if this is a bug, or I cant find documentation on it. I've exported a colour palette from Mac Affinity Designer 2 - file format is .clr (it used to be .afpalette) which won't import into iPad affinity designer 2 :/ IPad still exports a palette as .afpalette.

For some reason, I can neither save to iCloud a palette directly out of Designer, it has to be saved "On My iPad", and if I try to search for anything . (as in, clr) it crashes the search function in Designer

Is there any compatibility between MacOS and iOS? This was my main reason for using Affinity products. And spending all the money to upgrade to the full suite.

On your Mac, what kind of Palette was it? (Application, Document, System)

My guess: It's a System Palette, which would use the .clr format. The Affinity iPad applications require .ase or .afpalette files. If you recreate the Palette as a Document or Application Palette it should work on the iPad after exporting.

Yes, I found some other topic discussions and figure out that Application and system were now .clr format and doc is still .afpalette - the only one that iPad uses. Thank you for replying.

Does this mean that creating Application and System palettes in iPad Affinity Designer 2 will still be .afpalette? (Such an odd decision to change one but not the other) :/

Thanks

I think that only System uses .clr, and Application and Document export as .afpalette. (But I use Windows, so I can't check.)

I think that for Application they match, and both export .afpalette. If I remember correctly (not near my iPad), the applications cannot create System Palettes on the iPad.
