Opening Publisher Files in V1 after trying out V2

Hello, I recently tried out V2 of Affinity publisher, but after noticing that I don't really have a use for the new features I figured I would go back to using V1 as it is perfectly sufficient for what I am doing. However I am not able to open any of the files I touched while using V2. Is there a way for me to somehow make those files usable in V1 again (I only changes some text elements here and there)?

I would really apprechiate some help with this.

Hi @AndideBob, you cannot open v2 files in v1. You can export to PDF and open that in 1 or you can copy paste most objects and text from v2 to v1.

Note that there are more new features coming in v2.1 which is in public beta now, so that might change your mind about sticking with v1. Cross references and running headers are in v2.1 which offer significant advantages for long document publishing.There's also balanced corners for dashed lines and a Measure tool.
