Hello,

I imported an IDML file of a multipage document. It was successful but I noticed pages breaking incorrectly. When I tried to adjust them, I found that i was unable to even select the text block. I can edit text within the block, but not select or move the text block itself. This seems to me something with the master pages. The first page is fine and it has the text layer above the master page icon in the layers palette. The rest of the pages have it below the master page icon. I am unable to move the text layer. I think this may be a bug with IDML import? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Lin Culbertson

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

I have no way of knowing whether it is working correctly or not, as I don't have your IDML file (nor do I have InDesign to examine that file in the original application), but if the Text Frames are within the Master Page layer, you'll need to use Edit Detached on the Master Page layer in order to edit its contents on the document page. You can right-click on the Master Page layer and choose Edit Detached, but there are other ways, too.
