"Loading 1 Document", document will not load, Mac OSX

I had been encountering a loading issue with certain documents using AFD2.  Mac mini (3.2Ghz 6-core i7, intel UHD graphics 630) running Mac OS Monterey.  "Loading 1 Document" is the error message.  Document would not load, originally created in AFD1.  I was finally able to open it by using AF Photo2 and I did adjust the open GL in AFD2 preferences/performance to "OpenGL Basic", use only integrated GPU box checked.

Hi @Kcam,

First try starting Affinity Designer from Applications while holding down the Control key and you'll get prompted to clear some settings and 3 options will be selected and you can just click on Clear.  Now try opening the problem file, does it open?  

Can you also attach a problem file that gets stuck on loading so i can see if it also happens for me with your file.
