MarcusP Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 Hi there, I repeated the following steps many times before without issues, but under Affinity Photo V. 2.0.4 (iMac, Ventura) I run into trouble every time: - Opening a DNG-File in the Develop-Persona, develop it ( (RAW output format: RGB (32bit HDR) ) ... - Opening it in the Photo Persona, no problems so far... - and then I want to open this picture directly in the Tone Mapping -Persona - and I get the following error message: "Please select an RGB Pixel Layer before entering HDR Persona". But the document consist of only one layer, and this is an RGB-Format (see screenshot attached) - so what am I missing? As a workaround, I add a Curves-Layer, right-click it, and select "Merge Visible". Thus, I get a new, third Pixellayer. The Tone Mapping Persona accepts this new layer without trouble. Only a minor problem, but somewhat annoying nonetheless. Thank you very much for your help, Marcus Quote
carl123 Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 Version 2.0.4 allows you to output a RAW file 3 ways... Pixel Linked Embedded Only the Pixel option will allow you to directly go into the Tone Mapping Persona PS Next time show the layers panel Quote To save time I am currently using an automated AI to reply to some posts on this forum. If any of "my" posts are wrong or appear to be total b*ll*cks they are the ones generated by the AI. If correct they were probably mine. I apologise for any mistakes made by my AI - I'm sure it will improve with time.
MarcusP Posted March 19, 2023 Author Posted March 19, 2023 Hi Carl, thanks a lot, you're absolutely right, switching the output to "Pixel Layer" did the trick. Now I'm happy. Tnx again! Quote
