Paste FX in Affinity Designer 2 Is Sometimes Grayed Out

I've noticed that sometimes when I try to copy and paste the FX of a layer it won't let me. The option to Paste FX will be grayed out and only Paste Style will be available. I've tried using different ways of copying the FX source object. For example using ctrl+c vs manually clicking edit => copy in the menu, but the option to Paste FX remains grayed out.

The one thing that I found that seems to fix this is just duplicating the layer I'm trying to copy from. Then it starts working again.

Has anyone else noticed this. Is this a bug? or am I just doing something wrong. It sure would be nice to not have to use the "duplicate layer" workaround anymore.

I have not been able to replicate this on my version of Designer 2, if you use the shortcut for this action (Alt+Shift+V) do you have the same issue.

So since my first post, I had this happen again and first I tried saving the file I was working on and then seeing if it still happened. It did. Then I tried saving it as a new file name. That seemed to fix it. Then I also tried reopening the first file and it too seemed to work properly after being re-opened.
