jimrome Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 I can insert a rectangle into the text and wrap around it, but then I cannot make a text frame inside the rectangle. I need to make a table of contents inside the pink box. Quote
walt.farrell Posted March 5, 2023 Posted March 5, 2023 Instead of a pink rectangle, why not make another Text Frame, and color it pink using the Text Frame panel. Then simply click in it and insert your TOC. Alternatively, of course, you could use a pink rectangle but convert it to a Text Frame, but simply starting with a Text Frame is easier. jimrome 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. jimrome Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 I originally tried it with a second text frame, but I was unable to flow the text of the first frame around it. Flow does not seem to work around a text frame?? How would I change the pink rectangle to a text frame, now that the other text has flowed around it? Thanks, Jim Quote
jimrome Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 Ah. I found the convert to text frame, and this works. I am trying to convert from Frame Maker, so I am a newbie at this. Should the pink (now) text frame be in the Master front page? There is one in every issue, but its size changes depending upon the amount of articles. Quote
jimrome Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 And how do I put an overline at the top of a paragraph? Quote

jimrome Posted March 5, 2023 Author Posted March 5, 2023 I am now working on creating all my paragraph types. Why are the subscripts so tiny compared to the superscripts? Are they adjustable? Quote

The subscripts and superscripts created by the Typography settings are supplied and controlled by the font you're using. So they're what the font designer decided to use. You could use the faux versions provided by the Positioning and Transform section of the Character panel or the Character Text Style. Or you could create you own with baseline and font-size adjustments.
