temega Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 In Affinity Photo 2, I have a document with linked documents which themselves have linked documents. Aka deep linking. Changing a linked document updates the root/parent document. Changing a child of a child or linked inside linked document doesn't update the root document. I have to have the first child document open and save it to update the root document. Root document > linked resource 1 > deep linked resource - doesn't update root document when changed. > linked resource 2 ... "Automatically update linked resources..." is on. I would expect the root document to update whenever I change a linked document and deep linked document. Makes sense no? By the way, just got myself APhoto2 a month ago and I'm loving it! Runs Flies effortlessly on my M1 Macbook Air. Quote
temega Posted February 22, 2023 Author Posted February 22, 2023 So it's a technical problem. I would say that it's still expected to work as mentioned. Quote

Resource 1 needs to be opened and saved for the change to appear in Root. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
temega Posted February 23, 2023 Author Posted February 23, 2023 That would mean opening 20+ resources in my case. Quote
