GC79 Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 I work a lot with image layouts in Publisher. Is there a way of resizing multiple images but keeping the spacing between them at a set size? Whenever I resize a layout with several images, the spacing changes too. I then have to manually change the spacing between them. thanks! Quote
Andreas Scherer Posted February 22, 2023 Posted February 22, 2023 Click on the icon to “transform objects separately” (highlighted in blue in my screenshot), select the midpont in the “Transform” studio panel (if appropriate) and adjust the width and height proportionally for all selected objects. Thanks, but I'm talking about the spacing in between each object....when I scale the objects, the spacing scales too. For instance, I have a 5mm gap between each object. If I then scale the objects, the spacing goes up or down too. I want to keep the same 5mm gap even when I scale the objects. Quote
GC79 Posted February 22, 2023 Author Posted February 22, 2023 Ah ok thanks, that's probably more effort than the way I have been doing it especially when there are multiple images of different sizes! Was hoping there was something I could use to keep the spacing the same. Quote

Sorry, I misunderstood your request, I thought you wanted to keep the objects in place and scale them individually. Maybe “Constraints” are more suited to your idea? You can add the spacings as invisible objects that don't change in size (width resp. height) while scaling the parent container. GC79 1 Quote
GC79 Posted February 22, 2023 Author Posted February 22, 2023 Thank you, I'll take a look at that. Quote

Workaround: Set the distance between object bounding boxes to Zero + create a visual spacing with a stroke for each object (set to not scale). scale & maintain distance space.m4v GC79 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1

One downer: You can not combine this workaround with Vector Crop. (… whereas Picture Frame does work) GC79 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
