-Isaac- Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Hi, I'm new user and I have I'm frustrated... I tried but I couldn't find the path palette and/or save the paths (pen tools) made. How should I do? Also when I create a selection from the path, the layer is deleted!!!! This thing is not manageable, how do I work if I don't have a path palette? How is this possible...is it a bug? Thank you!!! Quote
firstdefence Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Paths are called Curves in Affinity Apps, not sure what you mean by a "path palette" maybe show the equivalent in Photoshop. Do you mean this from Photoshop... If so, Affinity doesn't have a path/curve panel. Give us a step by step on what you are doing. -Isaac- Posted February 20, 2023 Author Posted February 20, 2023 Hi, thank you for your reply!! yes I mean "paths" in photoshop I have to make more paths (paths photoshop) to be able to process my image, and I create a selection from the paths. But if there is no palette that can handle multiple paths. How can I work? How can I manage multiple path? Then every time I create a selection by "select" button, the layer that contains the path (pen tools) is deleted 1. I create the path 2. I create selection from the path Thank you Quote
firstdefence Posted February 20, 2023 Posted February 20, 2023 Create the paths/curves and then add them together using Layer > Geometry > Add or the top menu option With the subsequent paths/curves layer and the pen tool selected, you can create a selection from the paths/curves. Another option is to fill the curves with a colour and Command + Click on the layer to make a selection. Replace Command with Ctrl on windows. Doing it this way will keep the paths/curves so you can go back and modify them if the selection is not quite right.
