MetalJase Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Hi. I've loaded a 512px X 512px PNG into Photo Affinity v1.10.6.1665. When I click 'File > Export... > Export Settings > More...', then select 'RGB 8-bit' from the 'Pixel format' drop-down menu, then click Export; it creates a 32-bit PNG. Shouldn't it have created an 8-bit PNG instead? If no, how do I convert a 32-bit PNG to an 8-bit PNG? Thanks. Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 15, 2023 Posted February 15, 2023 Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. That's 8-bits per channel, so it's going to be 24 bits (R,G,B) if you don't have Transparency enabled, or 32 bits (R, G, B, A) if you do have it enabled.
