Bob May Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 I have created two PDFs in Affinity Publisher, both populated with photos, one using a Mixam A5 template and one using an Affinity A5 template. When I try to export them to a folder on my C-drive I get a message: Affinity Publisher - an error occurred while exporting to C:\ [folder and file info] Permission was denied. Can anyone advise on why this is happening? Cheers! (Windows Pro 11) Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Well, apparently you don't have permission to access that folder. You could try a different one, if you haven't already. One guess: You have Windows Defender's Controlled Folder Access active, and you haven't given Publisher access to the folder. How you do that depends on whether you mean Publisher or Publisher 2, and how you installed the application. (Or you might have some other anti-virus or anti-malware program interfering.) Bob May Posted February 3, 2023 Author Posted February 3, 2023 Hi Walt. Thank you for you response. I recreated the zine and for some reason the Export worked - with no change to the destination folder! I then created a bigger zine using Publisher's A5 template, uploaded to Mixam and all went through OK so I should have 40 copies of my zine in a week's time! I'm still not sure why it failed initially! Thanks again! Bob Quote
walt.farrell Posted February 3, 2023 Posted February 3, 2023 Interesting. And odd. But I'm happy it worked when you tried again Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
