Dashed lines appear solid when dash and gap values are the same

Hello,

Im on Affinity Designer (the original) and when I set the dash and gap values to the same number it appears solid. How do I fix this?

This is by design. If you play with the settings for the cap and the dash values, you will, hopefully, understand the logic.
