Arne Drews Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Hi, I have been using v2 for a few weeks now and am basically very satisfied. However, it bothers me that it is no longer possible to change the brush size by pressing ALTGR + [ and ALTGR + ]. Can I set this somewhere that this works again? Now I have to move the mouse to the selection to change the size. This is really annoying when masking. Thanks for hints and tips Quote
GarryP Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 For me, it’s just “[“ and “]” to change the size of the brush, not AltGr+”[“ and AltGr+”]”. Can you try that instead? If that doesn’t work, can you give us more information about which tool you are using, how you are using it, and what you are using it on? Quote
Arne Drews Posted January 27, 2023 Author Posted January 27, 2023 Hi, Thanks for the reply, I honestly hadn't thought of that. 😇 I can't test it until later unfortunately, as I only have v1 here at the company. But I will give feedback and if necessary the information you mentioned. Thank you very much. Quote
GarryP Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 As far as I know, it’s always been “[“ and “]” on both V1 and V2. Quote
Arne Drews Posted January 27, 2023 Author Posted January 27, 2023 Not for me, I tested it here once in v1 ( Windows ). Maybe it is because of the keyboard matrix, in Germany you need ALTGR to use [ and ]. Quote
GarryP Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 Interesting. I’ve just looked at the German keyboard https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/German_keyboard_layout and can now see that the “[“ and “]” are AltGr functions of the numerical keys, which I didn’t expect. As I’ve only used English keyboards I’m afraid that I can’t help any further but I’m sure someone else will be able to as you can’t be the only person who needs to be able to do this. Have you tried holding AltGr down and dragging the mouse pointer left-right to change the brush size (you can also drag up-down to change the hardness). (This should work on V1 and V2.) Arne Drews Posted January 27, 2023 Author Posted January 27, 2023 Wow, that works at least in v1, I wasn't aware of that! 👍 If this also works in the v2 afterwards, I can easily get used to it. 😇 Quote
GarryP Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 It should work in both V1 and V2 (with most, if not all, of the brush tools as far as I know, I’ve tried a few and they seem to allow it). Arne Drews 1 Quote
Arne Drews Posted February 1, 2023 Author Posted February 1, 2023 Sorry for late feedback. It works by holding down ALTGR, left mouse button pressed and moving the pointer left/right. That's good for me, thanks! ☺️ Quote
