Hi everyone,

I'm a newbie so please bear with me. I uploaded a PNG file and using the Pixel Persona, I started filling color in using the Flood Fill Tool. However, I'm getting these grey spots around the black pixel lines.  The image is 300 DPI.  Also, I've played with the tolerance slider but can't get it to be perfect.  Please see attached image. Any advice to achieve a proper color fill would be greatly appreciated. Thank you as always.

You may want to use a completely different workflow.
If your PNG is just black/grayscale anyway:

  1. create a red Fill layer
  2. put it behind your PNG layer as background
  3. set the PNG blend mode to Multiply
