Problems with RAW range selections (split)

Recommended Posts

Hello, this is my first message in this Forum
I have this problem:

In Affinity Photo 2.03 the color range, tonal gamut and alpha range selection, with embedded raw and raw linked does not work; while in pixel raw mode, or tif and jpg format it works.

Is this normal? Thanks in advance for your reply

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums, @Giancarlo Fusco.

I think you're talking about this function described in the Help: https://affinity.help/photo2/en-US.lproj/pages/Selections/selections_range.html

If so, I think what you're describing is normal. Pixel selections require a Pixel layer, and when you have a RAW layer it is in some ways like having an Image layer, where the individual pixels are not accessible.

However, I have not completely figured out what works with RAW layers and what doesn't, so this is something of a conjecture on my part.
