Andreas Gewies Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 I would appreciate if Affinity would add a modern Powerpoint / Prezi type software to its pipeline. Quote
Fritz_H Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 @Andreas Gewies hm.. Serif can´t even provide a flawless V2-Version. According to the posts in this forum the most recent versions are slow, unstable and still lack most of the user-requested (sometimes basic) features... And you suggest to spread out the available development-manpower to even more products? sure? Quote

And you suggest to spread out the available development-manpower to even more products? sure? Personally, I find their products to be very performant for the most part especially compared to adobe. Secondly, I think this is a great opportunity, I tend to make decks in publisher because I love the flexibility and its advanced design features compared to PowerPoint. However, its missing media rich things such as video embedding and the like. So, if I do want to embed stuff, I would export pages from publisher into PowerPoint, but I would have to import them one at a time then add the video (Making large changes are to cumbersome). The presentation world hasn't quite evolved with professionals in mind, I think affinity's code base has many of the bones needed to deliver a compelling keynote/PowerPoint app for professionals.
