rodcy Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Please excuse me if I'm doing something stupid but I've just bought Photo v2 and I'm puzzled by a layers issue. When I add an adjustment layer from the option below the layers panel a new layer is added above the background layer - that's how I expect it to happen. When I use the drop down menu to add a new adjustment layer the new layer is "embedded" in the background layer. I find this confusing and would like a new layer to be added in both cases rather than having to drag the adjustment layer out of the background. Hope someone can help or explain what's happening. R C-R Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 If you always want the adjustment to be added as a new layer instead of a child of a selected layer, in the Assistant preferences, set Adding adjustment layer to selection to Add adjustment as new layer. rodcy 1 Quote All 3 1.10.8, & all 3 V2.6 Mac apps; 2020 iMac 27"; 3.8GHz i7, Radeon Pro 5700, 32GB RAM; macOS 10.15.7 All 3 V2 apps for iPad; 6th Generation iPad 32 GB; Apple Pencil; iPadOS 15.7
