Hello,

I'm using the new iMac 24 M1 with macOS Monterey 12.6.1 with an iPad gen 9 and iOS 16.1 to use like a graphic tablet with Apple Pencil.

I found that when I need to move the image window to iPad using Window--> move to iPad it works correctly but when I decide to move back the image to the Mac Screen It works If I do through the menu on the iPad  (Window--> move to Mac)but itdoesn't work if I do the same action (Window--> move to Mac) through the Mac menu. Nothing happens. More: if now I try to do through the menu on iPad it doesn't work here anymore either

I hope you can fix it

Hi Marco and welcome to the forum.

I just tried this using my MacBook Pro 14's built-in display and a separate iPad Pro. I created two documents and floated one to a separate window. I chose Window > Move to iPad on the Mac and the floated window appeared on the iPad. I chose Window > Move to Mac on the iPad and it appeared back on the Mac. This is all as you stated.

But when the floated window is on my iPad there is no Window > Move to Mac or Move Back to Mac command in my Mac's menu. Nor is there such a command when I do the same thing with an Apple application like Safari. Can you show a screenshot of your Mac menus with this command?

My apologies, after I posted I realized you were asking about Affinity v1 which does have a Back to Mac command in the Mac's menu. This has been removed in v2 which is why I wasn't seeing what you were seeing.

I suggest moving the window back to your Mac from the iPad's menu to avoid the issue you're experiencing.

Good luck

Thanks for your kind answer. Recently I found that I can move back the image to the Mac if I select View--> move to Mac directly from the menu bar on the iPad! In this way It works correctly... If I do the same from the menu bar on the Mac it doesn't work.

Anyway this solution is functional and easy enough for my purposes
