Hi all, I'm using Affinity Designer V2 on Windows.

I have a fairly simple use case but I am not finding the elegant way to do it.

I have this curve of a planet below. I would like to separate the ring and the planet.

Is there an easy way to cut it exactly at the following points (pic below)? All the tutorials I have seen talk about drawing a separate line through my shape. But is there a way I can just select 2 points and cut between them? I've played with all the menu options but I am not seeing it. I've attached the .afdesign file.

Hello, is it elegant enough like this?

Thanks! Yes, I think that is a great method and basically what I was trying to achieve. I didn't have that "Merge Curves" UI enabled, so I didn't see how easy it was to combine the "cutting" segments.
