Affinity softwares won't start / crash at launch / unhandled

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

I have been using Affinity products for years and I have always been extremely satisfied with it.
But I'm facing a technical problems that exceeds my computer skills:

I used to work with Affinity Suite V1 without problems, then I installed their latest update patch (1.10.6) and all the softwares (photo, designer, publisher) stopped working. When I click on the applications, they load forever and they never start.
I'm using windows 10, and i haven't enabled any hardware acceleration.

I couln't make the softwares work again, so I decided to buy Affinity V2, hoping that it would solve my problems but no... I'm facing exactly the same thing.
None of the applications V2 work... I'm still stuck at launch and nothing ever starts.
I'm a bit dissapointed because I've paid for those services and I'm not able to access any of them.

When I checked on the Task Manager, it says that the software is not responding.

Could anyone help me out?

I'm having this same issue. Just installed, uninstalled, reinstalled. Ran as admin. Started with control key to reset user data. Still getting hung up on start with the crashpad error in task manager. Computer specs look good, except I don't know if this graphics card meets specs. Can you tell me if the graphics card is good or if there are any other suggestions to get this to work. AMD Ryzen 5 5625U with Radeon Graphics, 2301 Mhz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s).

Also Affinity Photo 2 used to work, but now exhibits same behavior on start up and won't launch.

Thanks for any help

In Windows Settings Installed apps if you click on t he 3 little dots and Advanced options there are repair and reset tabs when you scroll down. Might be worth a try.

Do you have hardware acceleration on? You can turn it off if you hold down the ctrl key at start up.

Assume your graphics drivers are up to date. A clean reinstall might help if that's possible with AMD.

There's more things to try if none of this works.
