Roman K
Hey guys, First time here and hoping I can get some help for this. I am trying to edit a PSD template for a photo booth print overlay and can't seem to figure out how to adjust the transparent rectangles where the photos would go. I am trying to move the middle rectangle higher and the left and right rectangles lower so I have more space to fit the logo in the bottom middle (attaching a screenshot). Is there a tutorial somewhere for this or can someone give me a few pointers? I've just started using the software recently and a total beginner with this. Thank you very much in advance. firstdefence
From the layer panel, expand the overlay (Group) there will likely be rectangles that you can select and move but it would be nice to have a screenshot of that layer group expanded to see what is actually in there. Another option would be the Cut_Out_layer (Group) and doing a similar thing as above. ...and finally where did you get these files from so we can take a closer look. Roman K
Thanks for the reply! The file can be downloaded from here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1kvqr2UFo6Dc8BDKNwcX8tgNFpgaDfkR-/view?usp=share_link I tried going into the layer group and move the rectangles but they are not moving, only the overlay layer itself is moving. I have a feeling that they are possibly cut outs in the overlay itself and I have to change the size and the positioning of them somehow? Attaching the layer group screenshot. Thank you! firstdefence
Ok, I think I've worked it all out, so... In the Cut_Out layer group hide everything but Rectangle 1 copy, Rectangle 1 copy 2 and Rectangle 1 copy 7 see example screenshot below. In the Overlay group, turn the mask off, you can forget about that, it isn't necessary but keep everything else active, see example below, I've also turned off the text_holder, text, elements and people groups to simplify the display. but these can be turned on later. Now go back to Rectangle 1 copy, Rectangle 1 copy 2 and Rectangle 1 copy 7 and move them to where you want them to be. You can place images as child layers to the rectangles Final setup can be seen here, click on the image to see it full size to see the layer arrangement better. Roman K
Did everything you mentioned and ended up with the screenshot attached. I actually don't need to place any images as its a template for a photo booth event that I had last night. So the photos that are being taken by the photo booth are to be overlayed to the transparent rectangles during the event (attaching another image). So once I activate the mask again I am still not able to move those transparent rectangles where I need them to be.
