tatanka
The Publisher (and probably Designer too) colour picker converts the colour values of the picked object to whatever the colour-values would be in the display mode the colour window is in at the time of the pick. This means that I can never know what the colour mode and colour value an object is. I can only pick the object and read values of the object colour converted into whatever colour mode the colour window is in at the time. For the life of me I can’t understand why you would do this. I expect the colour window to change to the selected/picked object colour model and colour values when I select or colour-pick it. Publisher document attached. Screenshot attached. loukash
Also note that Gray 0 ≠ K100. Grays will always result in rich black, i.e. based on RGB. If you need to print your grays in CMYK on the K plate, you must consequently apply CMY=0 & K=0–100 to any gray object. I wish there was a guide, tutorial, in video or text on how a colour managed workflow should be done. If you know of such a thing do let me know. loukash
Just now, tatanka said: If you know of such a thing do let me know. Hm, for a start check out my recent posts. I think in the past few weeks (but also last year) I have participated in quite a few threads on that topic… tatanka 1 Quote MacBookAir 15": MacOS Ventura > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // MacBookPro 15" mid-2012: MacOS El Capitan > Affinity v1 / MacOS Catalina > Affinity v1, v2, v2 beta // iPad 8th: iPadOS 16 > Affinity v2
