Hi!

Switching from Adobe to Affinity and converting Indesign files to Affinity increases data file almost 10 times from original file. Why do you think that happens?

I am also wondering (since there is no Affinity Publisher IDML export) what are your suggestions on collaboration with Adobe Indesigners?

Thank you for your comments!

Look in the Resources panel, are any graphics embedded in the afpub file?

You can't collaborate with people using InDesign. At least not easily. The only way out of Publisher is converting exported PDFs to InDesign using one of the two apps available for this purpose: Markzware PDF2DTP or Recosoft PDF2ID. The conversion is far from perfect though.

Hi! Yes there are many graphics, but are saved in seperat links Folder. Doesn´t it work the same as Indesign, so that all linked files are in a seperate Folders (1 Folder in case of a package)?

That is too bad to hear that there is no Indesign - Publisher collaboration possible. It works very well with Photo-Photoshop and Designer-Illustrator.

Do you maybe know if IDML xport is on planned to be developped for Affinity Publisher?

Open the afpub file and then check the Resource Manager (it's in the Window menu). You'll find out if the graphics are linked or embedded. But based on the file size of the Links folder they must be linked, because the afpub is much smaller.
