File won't open
Tart replied to MIckHenn's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hello, I am joining with a similar topic: The file won´t load, not from the server, not copied on a local disk. We use the latest update: 2.2.1. Has anyone had a similar issue and has any advice? We use volume licenses, some have Affinity 2.1 some 2.2.1 versions, maybe be related. -
Affinity Publisher linked files dissapeared
Tart replied to Tart's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Hii! in the meantime, PDFs were placed again in. Now we can´t diagnose the issue, but I ll come back to this conversation next time it happens. Negative DPI does seem strange, but we also did not have the latest update - we did it now, hope it works. Thank you -
Hello! I have opened a Publisher file, where some PDFs have been relinked. Names of linked PDFs are the same and we can see them in Resource Manager. Unfortunately, pages with these linked files are empty. Embedet PDfs are of course in the file. All layers are on and it does not help if I relink. I can drag and drop PDFs again inside, but this would not be a long-term solution. Has anyone experienced similar and can advise how to troubleshoot? Thank you

Hi! now it works again, no idea how is that possible, but happy it works We do have Volume licences. is it possible they were all taken and a person could then not edit files, but do open them? until someone else closed Affinity?

Hi! We have somehow locked the whole file and can not edit anything. Anyone know how oculd this happen? I have tried unlocking the layer, but seems like it is locked somehwere else. Thank you for any advice.

Hello! I use Publisher to combine multiple PDFs, but it sometimes does not work. I get a notification I should specify a valid target. I have clicked all possible options and non of them works. PDfs have different sizes, but I believe this should not affect, or? Anyone has similar issue and could guide me to a solution?

Multiple people working on a same project

Oh now I understand thank you! I am afraid that is not optimal or possible for us, because we work with all our softwares on a server and only Publisher has issues. I will still test out if there are no issue when files are saved locally and keep you updated. Thank you also for the work around about how to work on the same file. -
Multiple people working on a same project

Hi! We have files stored in our local server. But the problem is if I work on a file and someone else opens it, they can just open it. We are used from Adobe Indesign to be informed that the file is open, so I could not open it then. I would then know someone else is in the file and we for sure not work in the same file at the same time.
