M1 MBP Max - Activated Metal and the option is now locked.

Hi

I enabled metal on the new V2 apps, and it appears to work post restart, however the option is now locked in Photo only, and I cannot change this setting any longer from Photo, however it appears to be enabled from designer. Not sure what's going on here....

 

Any ideas how I can resolve this?

It's a confusing setup and it doesn't work quite the same in each app. To enable the Display option you need to first uncheck Enable Metal Compute Acceleration which is a few options lower on the screen.
