tugg
I'm sure this is simple but I can't figure it out. I am trying to create a pencil sketch effect by using detect edges tool and then inverting it. Where I'm stuck is I then want to add a white fill layer and brush away to reveal parts of the sketch underneath. Any ideas?
anon1
https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/13601-pencil-drawing-experiment/ I´d rather suggest this method - To add a white fill layer is easy "Layer > new fill layer" and select a white color, add a mask and paint black to hide and white on the mask to reveal the layer, although I don´t really get yet what you want to do with this method. tugg
Thanks for you help. I was copying a photoshop technique I found online. Here is a sample of my first go around.
anon1
Looks interesting, do you have a link to the whole explanation? I'm pretty shure it'd work out in AP just the same as long as it does not rely heavily on PS built in "filters".
tugg
Your advice was a big help. The picture is what I made in AP. Here is the link to what I copied the idea from. Thanks again. anon1
anon1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NISZibkL20g you´ve to use the link icon on the top here, otherwise the link is only visible when one quotes you. Anyway, thanks very much for the link, nice approach, I think it turned out well.
