Just installed Affinity Photo v.2 on my MBAir over v.1 - I was asked to transfer my previous data but at the end not to delete v.1 along with its icon in my Applications folder - this is the usual procedure when upgrading apps in my experience.  I have an App Cleaner app that deletes a main app and also finds associated files to remove, but reluctant to use it if some of the older files are needed in the new v.2?  Any advice would be appreciated since I have 2 more Macs I want to upgrade.  Thanks.  Dave

Hi XrayDave,

This is so users have the choice to use both versions, for reasons of compatibility etc.

Just uninstall by deleting the app icon in Applications.

Hi Lee - thanks for your prompt response - using AppCleaner (https://freemacsoft.net/appcleaner/) which finds the many associated files of an app - the first pic below is viewing the v.2 installation were 10 files were found; the 2nd pic found 32 files from v.1 (only showing 1 of 3 images) and there was some duplication - I could easily just delete the app file which would remove the icon but nearly 3 dozen files remain (and some may be used by v. 2?).  On my other laptop, I first deleted v.1 using AppCleaner, then installed v.2 and registered w/ my login info - 9 files appeared - I have one more computer to go and will likely do the same.  This issue should be addressed because many users may not need v.1 and v.2 compatibility - I'm the sole use of Affinity and want just one updated version.  Again thanks.  Dave

Hi again Lee and thanks - I've been on Macs for a dozen years and know the ways in the link, however, only the app file is removed with these methods often leaving a bunch of files behind which take up disk space (granted probably not much and of no concern, so maybe a moot point) - but when I want to 'clean house', removal of as many files as possible is my goal and AppCleaner has done this for me nearly 10 years.

So using AppCleaner, I first deleted all of the versions on my two laptops and downloaded v. 2, installed and registered on the website - both seem to be functioning fine and with the files needed - I'm fine now and look forward to exploring this new version - thanks again for your quick responses.  Dave
