douglasm
Just upgraded from Designer version 1 to 2 and I'm still unable to drag any objects (text boxes, shapes, etc.) using my 13" M1 MacBook Pro. After selecting an object holding down on the trackpad to drag/move it the contextual menu immediately pops up. If you're not careful and let go then the "Cut" option is selected. It works just fine with a mouse but the whole reason I have a portable computer is so I don't have to carry a mouse around all the time. Also, the interface for this forum is horrible. I have to check that I'm not a robot, type out my content here then the reCAPTCH fails and I have to cut everything and start over then paste my content in VERY QUICKLY so the security check remains. It took me three times to post this.

I have a 14" MacBook Pro and have never had this problem in Affinity 1 or 2. But there are two preferences that you might have set differently in v1 vs v2 you should check. Preferences > Tools > ^+Ctrl show context menu Preferences > Tools > Force Touch context menu I assume it's one of these that is tripping you up. douglasm 1 Quote Download a free PDF manual for Affinity Publisher 2.5 Download a quick reference chart for Affinity's Special Characters Affinity 2.5 for macOS Sequoia 15.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)
douglasm
Thank you! I turned the both off and now I can drag things as expected. Odd that it only showed up after I updated to macOS Ventura. Those are preferences I've never touched before. MikeTO
