sowenjub
What does it take to populate the "Recent" panel that shows up when you launch the app or create a new file (⌘N)? Mine remains empty. MikeTO
That doesn't look right. If there are no documents in your recent list it should look like the screenshot below. You're missing the left sidebar, all you have is the Account icon and it's in the wrong spot. When you choose File > New and see the New Document dialog, are you not able to click Recent in the left sidebar and then New again to go back to the standard New Document options? What is in your File > Open Recent menu? If there's something there, try choosing Clear Menu and then opening a document and seeing if that fixes it. sowenjub 1 Quote Download a free manual for Publisher 2.4 from this forum - expanded 300-page PDF My system: Affinity 2.4.2 for macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)
sowenjub
@MikeTO Alright, so: clearing things did solve it 🥳 I moved files around (changing their folder), so maybe that's how I ended up there I haven't found how to Pin files, I must be missing something obvious. I tried a right click and thought displaying as a list might reveal a checkbox of sorts. MikeTO
Try mousing over the upper right corner of the thumbnail's square - does a pin icon appear? If not, click blindly where you see the pin in my screenshot below and one should appear. This must be a bug but once you've pinned one it seems like the pins show up fine from then on. sowenjub 1 Quote Download a free manual for Publisher 2.4 from this forum - expanded 300-page PDF My system: Affinity 2.4.2 for macOS Sonoma 14.4.1, MacBook Pro 14" (M1 Pro)
sowenjub
@MikeTOThanks! The pin didn't appear but clicking blindly did work. It shows up fine from then on, but only for the pinned file, not the others. sowenjub
3 minutes ago, mink said: Same here. No kidding, this is one feature in my top 3 i wanted to use the most. I am all about PM and order, so pinning fav docs is a must. It took me untio today (so 4 days) to figure that out. Dear @admins: please make this Pin more visible when deactivated, so one finds it quicker or at least make the right click accessible so one can a) pin / unpin, b) delete the recent doc etc … Also the feature from the ipad to collect the docs in somehow piles is something to bring to desktop, too. Everything else: I LOVE V2!!! Speaking of order, it would be nice to be able to drag/drop pins to reorder them.
