kwrass Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 In Affinity Publisher, is there a way to select and copy all the text of all text boxes that exist in a single document? I do not want to have to select all the text of all the text boxes one by one in order to copy the entire document. I have a book laid out with multiple chapters and want to select it all at once and paste it into a Word document. Thanks. Quote
thomaso Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 No way yet in Affinity – unless the entire text is set up as one long story in text frames linked via text flow. Workaround: export as PDF + export that in an according PDF viewer as Text. kwrass 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
thomaso Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Easier: I just experienced with two PDF viewing apps (Acrobat + Apple Preview) that I can use "Select All" > "Copy" to paste all text of a multi page PDF into a text document If it is a pure text file then text only gets pasted, if it is an .rtf file then all text with styles + the images get pasted, not in the layout but in the order of the PDF pages. kwrass 1 Quote macOS 10.14.6 | MacBookPro Retina 15" | Eizo 27" | Affinity V1
